Tips to a Healthier You

There’s not a week that goes by when I don’t have a customer tell me that he needs to lose weight or get back to the gym before he can buy himself some nice shirts or accessories. And I get it. I believe in the notion that how you feel reflects how you dress. If you’re not quite happy with your physical appearance then you may not make the effort to dress well. I’m not here to lecture, but I’d like to share 20 tips for 2020 that I follow very closely on how you can feel your best.

  1. Eat a salad every day – I recommend all organic ingredients if possible
  2. Choose fruit as a snack and eat veggies with every meal
  3. Choose unsalted nuts or a healthy trail mix as a snack
  4. Eat more plant-based alternatives
  5. Significantly reduce white flour, salt and sugar intake
  6. Drink more water
  7. Set aside a daily quiet time
  8. Exercise at least 30 minutes every day
  9. Reduce your stress – always choose slow over hurry
  10. Keep your space clean and organized
  11. Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep every night
  12. Get an annual health check-up
  13. Visit the dentist at least twice a year
  14. Trim your nails
  15. Visit the barber regularly
  16. Use shampoo and conditioner three times a week
  17. Use a face wash and moisturizer every day
  18. Wear sunscreen every day
  19. Keep your mind active – start with reading a book-a-month
  20. Keep in touch with family and friends

It’s important to take small steps towards a healthier lifestyle. You’ll be glad you did. And because you feel better, you’ll want to look better.
