Start with a cleanser on your face twice a day, when you wake-up and before you go to sleep. The cleanser removes dirt and dry skin, and helps prevent clogged pores and breakouts. Avoid using a soap bar on your face as it’s too harsh for your face.
Once or twice a week you should exfoliate your face as this removes dead skin cells and also helps with ingrown hairs and bumps. Exfoliating really helps improve your skin complexion.
You should also moisturize your face daily with just a small amount the size of a dime. Moisturizing hydrates your skin.
Nothing will age and damage your skin faster than the sun so it’s important to use sunscreen everyday even in the winter. To save a step you could use a moisturizer that has SPF.
Invest in a good razor for shaving and use a quality shave soap or foam. It’s also a good idea to use an after-shave gel to soothe your skin especially if you have sensitive skin.
For your body you could wash with a shower gel or a soap bar. Try using a wash cloth or loofah as this helps remove dry skin. Take extra effort on your elbows, knees and feet as they are usually the driest.
Following your shower you can use a body lotion if you have dry skin especially on your elbows, knees and feet.
Two items you should always have at your desk or in your bag is hand cream and lip balm with SPF.
Lastly, it’s important to try different products to see what works best for you and it’s okay to mix brands. I personally recommend that you buy high-quality, all natural products because you will definitely notice a difference.
